Program Guide Fall 2020
The Lifelong Learning Institute of Manassas is a community of adults age 50 years and older. Our mission is to provide our members with affordable educational and social opportunities in a friendly and informal atmosphere. Organized in 2003 as a 501(c)(3) educational non-profit, we are hosted by Northern Virginia Community College (Manassas campus), and maintain partnerships with other community organizations. We offer two programs each year – fall and spring – consisting of classes, discussion forums, social events, clubs, and occasional bus trips. A self-governing organization, we rely entirely upon the volunteer efforts of our members for our governance and operations.
Volunteer Opportunities
In order to continue to sustain and grow, LLI-Manassas depends upon members to volunteer their time and skills in a variety of ways. Our current volunteer needs are listed on the website homepage. Please use the Contact Us link to express your interest and offer your particular skills and experience.
LLI-Manassas is Grateful To
Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative (NOVEC) and NOVEC-Helps for grants which assist in funding our technology and website operations.

4. CLASS POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.
-
A Class Coordinator is assigned for every LLI class, club or event. The Coordinator is your point-of-contact for all information and questions concerning the class.
-
YOU MUST BE REGISTERED IN A CLASS TO ATTEND. If you are not registered, you may contact the Class Coordinator to see if space is available. Similarly, if you ARE registered but cannot attend, please also inform the coordinator so that your seat might be made available to someone else.
-
CLASS AND E-MAIL REMINDERS. Approximately one week prior to the class, the coordinator will email a reminder to all registered students. The email will also include log-in information if the class is to held online (e.g., via Zoom or some other media).
-
WAIT-LISTS. Some classes may have wait-lists. The coordinator will contact wait-listed students (in date order), by email, if seats open up.
-
Class, event and bus trip fees must be paid at the time of registration; you will not be registered unless the fee is paid. If you register online, the fee will not be charged to your credit card if you are wait-listed for a class. If you register by mail or in person and paid a fee by check and are subsequently wait-listed and unable to attend, a refund check for that fee will automatically be mailed to you.
