Coordinator’s instructions for entering course information into the LLI on-line Program Plan process.

For the most part, the process will be the same as what we did over the summer to prepare for the Fall 2020 semester. However, there is one noticeable change. We now more carefully distinguish between

Classes with more than one session (e.g. when a class has too much information to convey in a single 90-minute session).

Classes which need to limit the size of any given class and therefore have more than one group in order to accommodate the expected demand.

Begin by going to the input page at the link below and filling out the requested information. If you do not have all the information and cannot finish the form in one sitting, DO NOT close your browser or turn off your computer. If you were to do that, your work would be lost. Rather, go to the bottom of the page and click on “Click here to SAVE AND CONTINUE LATER or to go on to the next step.” In the screen that opens, enter your own email address in the blank. You will then be sent a link by which you can return to finish your work. Then it is safe to close your browser.

Once you have entered all of the information, you are ready to forward the information to the editor. Make sure that you have selected the choice of steps as “Step 1: From Coordinator to Editor (Elizabeth).” Then click on “Click here to SAVE AND CONTINUE LATER or to go on to the next step.”

When the next page opens, in the space for entering an email address, enter, not your own email this time, but rather the address for the editor, Elizabeth. Her address is shown on the form. To avoid typos, please copy and paste her address into the space.

When the editor has finished with your input, she will send it back to you to verify that whatever editorial changes she has made do not change the meaning of what you said. You will get an email link from Elizabeth inviting you to take a final look at your input.

When you click on the link in the email and are comfortable with the input, change the step indicator choice to “Step 3: From Coordinator to Program Chair (Karen).”

At the bottom of the page, click on “Click here to SAVE AND CONTINUE LATER or to go on to the next step” and when a new page opens, in the email space enter Karen’s email address. Again, her address is given there and it is best to copy and paste it rather than typing it in, which might introduce typos.

At this point, Karen will submit your input to the on-line Program Guide formatting system. You are mostly done.

If you want to check on the status of your input, you can look at the link below called “Link to status sheet.” Keep in mind that updating that status link is a manual process, so it will be a bit behind the actual status.

As each entry is approved, it will be added to the Draft S2021 PG page, and you can look at that via the link below. If you see something that went wrong, notify David Pace.
